Dear Ms Nada Thank you for asking on HCM. Hyperthyroidism is a condition in which the thyroid overproduces hormones. Did you check resently your thyroid hormone level?Tsh ,T3 ,T4 ,TSI Also USG? Initial treatment for hyperthyroidism usually is antithyroid medicine and not Thyroid hormone replacement as Levothyroxin? Levothyroxin must be take on an empty stomach, 30 minutes before eating. Levothyroxine is usually taken in the morning. Follow your doctor s dosing instructions and try to take the medicine at the same time each day. In my opinion i thought ist a mistake . During and after treatment for hyperthyroreidism, you will have regular blood tests to check your levels of thyroid stimulation hormone TSH • You will also have regular Thyroid Hormon test to check your levels of hormones called T4 and T3. • You have problem with eyes , and these symptoms look like you have Graves Disease . To be sure if have Graves Disease we must to check Antibody level called thyroid stimulating immunoglobulin (TSI) My adive is to chek bood test for • Tsh ,T3, T4 , TSI , (hormone level) • Ultrasound to see the thyroid structure. • Nuclear medicine scan May I know please if your docter precsrition only Levothyroxin ?Did he/she give any other medicine for thyroid problem? My answer :is that we can’t treatment hyperthyroid with levothyroxin ,In some cause we give Anti –thyroid and Hormon replacement therapy depens function structure of thyroid gland . These symtoms like problems in eyes and mood changes are present in patiens with hyperthyroid dispite the age .
