Is Desprin Advisable To Cure Severe Headache?

I have sever headache, the frequency is once in week minimum. I have observed it is linked with my stomach upset. in order to get relief from the headache , every time I am taking desprin ( 2 tablets at a time) . Is it okay. please suggest how to overcome this problem

Hi..Can understand your concern.As per your query about whether disprin should be taken in severe headache .....You should know the cause of headache and what type of headache ..whether it is throbbing or severe and persistent .Is it aggravated in bright light and noise. As you said it is more likely to be associated with stomach upsets you should always try to keep your digestive system good to avoid this type of conditions..Due to improper digestion there may be gastritis and acidity which is leading to headache.You should take a diet full of green leafy vegetables and salads..Have one seasonal fruit daily.If gastritis is causing discomfort you can take pantoprazole 40 mg twice daily for few days.Disprin can be taken for headache but its prolong use is not safe as it may cause gastric erosions or ulcers and also every drug has its side effects.. This drug also has anticoagulant property which prolongs clotting time of blood so its prolong use should be avoided.Also two tablets of disprin should not be taken at one time..You should go for an imaging test to rule out the exact cause and consult a physician for medications accordingly.I hope the information helps you.Take care.
