Is Deriphyllin And Telekast-L Harmful For Pregnancy?

Hi, Yesterday I just came to knowo through pregnancy test that I am pregnant. I would be greatful if you could please provide some information regarding with the medicines wich iam having form Alergy, which are Deriphyllin and Telekast-L. Now I have cough (countineusly). so please tell me some instructions inthis regard.

Hello
You are taking telekast-L ( montelukast+levoceterizine )as these are antihistamine and very much effective in allergy .
You are also taking deriphylline , this is a very potent bronchodilator ( it will produce fine tremors to your baby , nothing more than this .
These two drugs are safe and usually prescribed in asthmatic patient in pregnancy .
When such type of patient visit in my clinic with these symptoms and pregnancy I prescribe montelukast+bambuterol ( anti allergic and bronchodilator ) .
Only one tablet is sufficient in 24 hours .
Hot coffee and steam inhalation also provide relief in your case.
Chewing of GINGER during pregnancy also help when have cough and allergy.
