Is Cremaffin Syrup Safe For Constipation Relief?

Hello sir,
I had an ano fistula surgery 1.5 month ago. the surgery was successful and my doctor prescribed me cremaffine syrp and did use it for 1 month then I decided not to use if it may have side effects. so, can I start using it again since I have hard stool to pass?

Yes it can be safely used. These side effects that you mention are very rare so this should not worry you.. also you need to increase fiber intake and you may at times need to try a laxative such as Fleet Phospho-Soda, Milk of Magnesia, or glycerin suppositories. If there wont be improvement on these measures, you should consider doing diagnostic tests such as colonoscopy, anal sphincter manometry and food allergy testing.
