Is Clearwax Ear Drops Advisable For Yellow And Green Liquid Discharge From Ears?

It s been 2 weeks , I started swimming classes. After a week, my ear started paining and yellowish-greenish liquid discharged could be seen.Pain was in jaws also. I went to medical store and got the medicine Clearwax (Cipla product). Is the medicine correct or do I need to consult ENT specialist? Also , shall I continue swimming? General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi ! Thankyou for using HCM

I would according to the symptoms you prescribe , you may have ear infection .This is called otitis externa or Swimmer's ear , Its a bacterial infection of the outerear canal .
So you need to take an antibiotic and to drain the liquid from the ear ( clean it ) .
I would recomend to go to your local doctor ,stop sweeming until yur ear recover , keep the ear clean and dry , stop the clearwax if you have been using more then 4 days .

Ater your ear revover you can sweem again but have to protect your ear while you are sweeming so the water not go inside your ear.

Hope these help
Wish you good health .
