Is Candiderm Cream Prescribed For Scalp Infection?
my seven year old son has a urinary track infection, and is penis when turned over is swollen and pain, however he also has fungus in his head, went to the doctor today and was given this cream Candiderm Cream (antifungico+antibiotico+esteroide) I am sure what I should use the cream for if it is for the fungus or his penis

Fungal infection of scalp is a common skin disease. Antifungal cream like Candiderm can be applied at fungal infection for scalp also. Candiderm contains only Ketoconazole, which is anti fungal. Though it could be as you said combination of Antifungal, antibiotics and Steroid, as the trade name can vary in different countries. If your son has Eczema, with fungal infection and inflammatory rash or infection, Doctors prescribe combination one. Your doctor must have given after diagnosing the condition well. If your son really need this cream, you may apply as instructed by your doctor. If you still have some doubt, it is better you discuss with your doctor, or you may sen us picture of scalp rash, with the correct ingredients. Hope you got your answer.
