Is CT Scan Of The Abdomen With Barium Sulfate Safe?

I had a reaction to gadolinium that was used to do an MRI of brain in September. My skin burned for 2 to 3 months and my bladder was very irritated and burned with frequent urination for weeks after. I now need to have a CT scan of my abdomen with barium sulfate. Is it possible that I might have a similar reaction to this contrast agent?

you are sensitive to gadolinium can tell your doctor for alternative which is available. can take levocetrizine 5 mg in morning but better to go for alternative.have to got history of sensitivity to barium sulfate. it is not likely. it is an inert substance and does not have any systemic absorption or reaction.
