Hi,
Azithromycin is metabolised in your liver and it is contraindicated in people with colestatic jaundice. This stasis can be caused by gallstones as well, so if you have jaundice symptoms related to your gallstone, you shouldn't take azithromycin. Talk eith your doctor and tell him to prescribe another antibiotic based on your antibiogramme, or past medical history.
If you dont have any signs of jaundice, then take azithromycin. If you start having any sign of jaundice, interrupt the antibiotic and call your doctor.
I hope I have answered your questio. Wish you good health!
