Pulmonologist 's  Response
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Your father is mostly having chronic bronchitis. And at present, he is having uncontrolled bronchitis. Bronchitis needs regular treatment.
Asthalin is having salbutamol. It is short acting beta 2 agonist. It's action lasts for only 2 hours.
It should not be used as regular drug.
For regular maintenance treatment, your father needs long acting inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS).
Oral combination of antihistamine and anti allergic drugs are also useful.
So better to consult pulmonologist for your father and discuss all these.
Newer long acting inhaled bronchodilators are having excellent effect in bronchitis.
Asthalin should not be his regular drug.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
