Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that your daughter who is 14 months old is suffering from Upper Respiratory Tract Infection also known as Common Cold leading to cold and cough..
It is a Viral infection and antibiotics cannot treat it as antibiotics can only treat bacterial infection..
So my suggestion would be not to give her antibiotics..
You can give her Steam inhalation and use a humidifier in her room that will ease her breathing and soothe the throat that will reduce coughing..
Put saline nasal drops as it will help in loosening mucous and ease the draining of mucous and relieve congestion..
You should give her plenty of fluids and other warm liquids..
You can also give her a soft diet and avoid chilled and spicy foods..
Give her ample of rest..
You can give her Acetaminophen for relieving rise in body temperature, body aches and discomfort and sore throat..
In case of no resolution consult a Paediatrician and get her evaluated..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
