Is 5 Injections Of Varorab Required For A Dog Bit?
My son was bitten by pet dog in India as a precautionary measurment he was prescribed varorab five injections and he got 3 of them in india but now he is in usa how can these remaining shots be completed?his peditrician is saying they don't have them.

Post prophylaxis of dog bite is to take Total five injection,three injection to built up immunity the test two are to increase the immunity and to boost it for maintaining immunity for long time,hence all five rabipur are required,,if they are not available the available anti rabies can be taken

Thanks for the question. Well if the dog was pet then pls find out if he was vaccinated or not and if the dog is alive. If vaccinated dog is alive after 10 days then least chances of rabies. Hence not to worry and you can stop after 3doses.
