My sugar level is 283 1/2 hours after eating. I am on medication for seizures and have atherosclerosis. My sugar has not tested normal in some time. I have been putting off going to the doctor waiting for other physician's medical records - just moved to another state. Am I in danger at a level of 283? Thank you.

The levels up to 100 are considered normal, and levels between 100 and 126 are considered pre-diabetes. Most people who have had a blood glucose level over 300mg are considered to be into uncontrolled diabetis.
