Irregular Periods With Heavy Flow, Swollen Body, Tiredness. Are These Menopausal Symptoms?

ok, i would like to know that although my mom is about 53-54 year , she has har monthly pariod . Few month before it was very unfrequent, coming in around 10-15 days interval with heavy flow . She often gets whole bodyswollen becoz of that, she always feels tired. Is it common at this age or there is some problem in her uterus . Idont think a women mensturates at this age??

Hi,
From history it seems that your mother is in menopausal stage giving rise to this problem.
Wait for few months for complete absence of period due to menopause. If problem persisted thenconsult gynaec and get examined to rule out other problem in uterus.
Ultra sound will give good clue about the condition.
