Irregular periods, tests showed cyst, recurring irregularity after stopping medicines, advised continuing medicine for long term. Advise?

Hi Sir, I am 30 years male Indian, working in Dubai. My engagement was over last April & marriage is fixed in Dec 2012. last 5.5 I do chat/talk with my would be and we were very happy to share our things each other. She is little fatty in nature. & her period was irregular. Some months its not happening at all. So she went through a physical check up & found there is a syst in her (very minute) and doctor suggests to take medicine. She started taking medicine for 4 months & stopped. But when stopped it, the same problem came again. & 4 -5 Days back she consulted another Doctor & his comments was really shoked to her. He asked to take 8 months continuous treatment regarding this. This made her very dip pressed & started thinking weird. Now she says she hates sex & doesnt want to spoil my life & not interested in marriage. still we both love very much each other. I am so disapppointed now & this may be one of the most struggled moment in my life. Could you please advise me.

Welcome to HCM.
I read you and your partner problem. She is probably suffering from PCOD which is a common medical problem in women. There are several treatment regimen to regularize period and enhance fertility.
So first of all,she should be free from tension or depression and hope for the best.
Need some other investigations like PPBS,thyroid profile,LH/FSH,Lipid profile, blood prolactin level,Testosterone level etc to evaluate other pathology.
Treatment protocol comprises Tab Metformin 500mg daily along with CYPROTERONE ACETATE & ETHINYLOESTRDIOL combined tab (like Krimson-35 or Diane-35) to be taken at least 6 months to get better result. Added with other symptomatic treatment regarding Hirsutism (abnormal hair grow) or thyroid dysfunction etc.
Beside need some life style modification and change in diet pattern.
More likely 1) Control of body wt by regular exercise and yoga.
2) Avoid stress by deep breathing or pranayama.
3) Take healthy diet with avoidance of fatty fast food or high calorie diet.
4) Psychological counseling to gain confidence in future marriage life.
5) Proper sleep, take plenty of fluid with regular bowel habit.
6) Maintain personal hygiene.
7)Periodically follow up to her doctor and concerned about other symptoms.
Be well and wish you happy marriage life.
