Irregular Periods, Not Obese Or Underweight. Prescribed Regesterone. Correct Medication?

Hi, I need the assistance from a Gynecologist for the following question. We are married for 7 months now. My wife had regular periods until 4 months after marriage but she has been experiencing irregular periods since then. We have consulted many doctors and unfortunately, we do not have the reason for this irregularity. She is neither obese nor under weight. She was prescribed Regesterone to use for getting the periods normal. Is this fine? Please advise. Thank you!

Hi dear thanks for question on HCM,YOUR WIFE having irregular period 4 months after marriage,and she has been prescribed regesterone for irregular period ,dear as for treatment for irregular period is concerned it is all right,as for as cause for irregular bleeding is concerned, go for ultrasound of your wife to look for uterine fibroid, overain cyst or endometrosis ,these could be some cause for irregular bleeding,get her investigated completely ,and if no cause is discovered,continue with regesterone ,it will settle her cycle in few months though i am not gynecologist,hope some gynecologist will also respond to this question,hope it will also help you.
