Irregular Periods Due To PCOS. Need Treatment?

I am 18 years old. N last year in september i.e 2012,the year i joined college n sports there. My periods became irregular. Firstly i dint have periods from september to november
Then i went to doctor for treatment, she said i have pcos, but in my opinion no other symptoms were there (acc. To symptoms i saw on yahoo or other site)
Then she gave me Oosure capsules and asked me to get some more tests on second day of periods
In december, after taking pills my periods came but i dint get any test done cz my grandmother and mother said not to take more pills and go for tests and all
But then in january, they were late.. I was very worried
So i kept on searching, i found that taking beetal leaf, gingr and black pepar can bring periods. I took it n the next day periods startd
In febrary they came naturally
Again march i tried something else. Found on yahoo answers that boiling ginger and consuming it can help. I took the same.. Then again my periods came.. Now this april, i usually have periods on 23rd, my periods are late.
What should i do
Please help
Day and night i keep on worrying
My exams are near but this periods problem is troubling me. What should i do. Pleaase help. Should i go to gyane? Or wait this month and see what happens?
Answer please

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The irregular periods are a feature of polycystic ovaries. This needs to be treated in case it is associated with an intermittent heavy bleeding or you want to conceive after marriage.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
