Hello and welcome to HCM.

Thank you for your query.

The cause for irregular menstrual cycles can be numerous, and as you have not stated any medical conditions in your query, I am assuming you are undiagnosed. It is important to get checked and diagnosed as irregular periods, especially with your pattern could affect your fertility, if you wish to continue your family.

Exercise has found to be one of the most common factors leading to irregularity in menstrual cycles. This could be the reason for an irregularity, but it is best not to assume. PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) is also a possible cause, especially if your weight is more than it should be for your height and built. Please consult a doctor who will have to diagnose and treat you for the same.

I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications at: http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-shoaib-khan/64581 . I would gladly help you.

Best wishes.
