Irregular Periods. What To Do?

My period cycle has never been too regular. In fact I didn t even start until I was eighteen and it lasted a month. The past year has been pretty regular I think. But out of curiosity I started tracking it down and seeing exactly how regular I am. Well a while ago, I was about eight days late. Then my last one lasted like 9 days. And they normally are seven. Well now according to the period tracker app, it says I m 13 days late.

Hi,
If you have been getting around 40-day cycles recently, and if you are not on any contraception and planning to conceive, you may go for a trans-vaginal sonogram and a serum beta-hCG assay to confirm/exclude pregnancy. Also, I would suggest a complete evaluation by a specialist for future treatment if pregnancy is excluded. Also, please try to maintain a healthy weight, do some regular exercise and eat healthy. Hope this information is useful. Good luck.
