Irregular Periods. Scan Shows Follicle Producing More Hormones. Which Tablet Should I Take To Prepond Periods?
Hello doctor,
My period has become very irregular from past 4 months, I consulted doctor with regards to this and got scanning done. She said there is one follicle in my right ovary which is producing more hormones... I have my wedding next month 12th and i am very much worried because i dont know when i get my periods.. This month i was expecting my period on 25th but unfortunately i got it on 12th only and it is not stopped yet... I am planning to prepone my periods by taking restrogen tablets... Please suggest me from when should i start taking tablets because my previos period itself is not stopped yet... I am very much worried now and fed up with my irregular periods:-(

In the present state of hormone disturbance, it would be better if you try to postpone your cycles to put them back on track, as advancement of cycles may not be successful. You may try progesterone only or go for combined pills for a couple of cycles to set things right. Sudden disturbances in weight, stress, infections and certain medications also can lead to such irregularities apart from ovarian cysts. Treatment of your ovarian cyst if needed can help. If you still wish to prepone your next cycle, you can start taking Regestrone right away under medical surveillance. Take care.

Hi, it appears that your periods are irregular, and continuing, it could be due to the infection, or anemia.
I to my patient with such condition, prescribe progesteron B.D for 3 days, cifixime, and hematinics.
