Hello dear, PCOD is basically a hormonal disease which affects metabolism of body at various levels. Ever since you are unmarried and only concern is irregular periods you should first get your hormone levels checked and then meet your gynecologist for follow up with reports as she might like to put you on hormone pills. All the best.
