OBGYN 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
While taking the hormonal pills irregularity in menstrual cycles can be seen.
Intermenstrual spotting, breakthrough bleeding, withdrawal bleeding etc side effects can occur while using the pills.
If you alter the time of intake of the pills, that can lead to break through bleeding.
Usually these side effects will subside after few months of usage of pills.
So possibly your cycles will get regularize soon.
If the spotting repeats in next cycles also, consult gynecologist once and get evaluated.
If she recommends you can use additional dose of hormones to control this spotting.
Possibly by this your problem may get solved.
If the spotting persists or increases, you may need to change the brand of hormonal pills or choose some other contraceptive method.
Take care.
