I am Divya from Kottayam, i had the problem of irregular mensus, pimples , facial hair growth and overweight . I am 18 and unmarried. My doctor gave APCOD for 6 months. After taking it now i am getting my mensus regualrly, my pimples gone. To my surprise facial hair growth came down significantly!. Whether i need to continue, or i can stop. If i stop, will i get pimples again. My doctor told me that APCOD is safe can be taken for longer duration. Kindly advise

Hi,
Your symptoms point to the picture of PCOD. APCOD is vitamin supplement and may be used as long as needed. For the specific treatment of this condition, you would need the standard protocol of investigations including complete hormonal assay and a trans-vaginal sonogram. You should also maintain you weight within healthy limits and do some regular daily exercise as this alone helps in curing the symptoms in many cases. Hope your query is answered. Take care.
