Intermittent Dull Pain Between Left Shoulder Blades, Mucus In Throat. Lung / Esophageal Cancer ?

HI, I m 35 year old female, pack a day smoker. I ve had intermittent pain between my shoulder blades, feels like a dull aching or nrerve pain that extends down both sides. The pain is worse on the left side. I also have a constant mucus at the top of my throst and it feels like a sinus drainage. Also, I have what sounds like a stomach acid in the top of my throat, gurgling like my stomach does sometimes. I am obviously concerned about lung or esophageal cancer .

Hi welcome to HCMForum. To have self diagnosis and become despirate is very bad.
When there is a health problem and not relieved in 2 days one should go to a doctor
for diagnosis and treatment.
The symptoms you are present are there with so many diseases like pneumonia
eosinophelia and other lung diseases . GERD gastritis oesophagitis peptic ulcer etc.
Most probable cause is GERD. I advise you to consult a gastro enterologist for
diagnosis and treatment. you may have to go for gastroscopy and scaning whole
abdomen along with other routine tests for confermation of the diagnosis.
Besides i advise you some diet recomendations as avoid taking spices chillies
junk foods and oily foods. some people may be allergic to some foods like milk
and milk products, then they are to be avoided. wishing for a quick recovery.
Thanks for calling.

Thanks for writing your question as you are smoker so lung cancer chances are high in the later stage. The problem you are telling not related with the cancer as both are different carcinomas but to clear you should get X Ray and Endoscopy to clear your doubt. your symptoms are related to Ulcer (Gastric) so you should take diet properly on time, don't skip meals, homemade food should be taken, plenty of fluids, no spicy food, Laxative fruits that will help your stomach to clear. In this case if it increase pain can also be there that you are telling.
Thanks
