Hello there,

Welcome to HCM,

You seem to have a allergic reaction out of over use of cinnamon.
Spices and condiments have acids and certain chemicals which may lead to soft tissue reactions and irritate the mucous membrane of throat and lungs.
It may lead to chest congestion , dryness and difficulty in breathing.
You need to consult a physician and get the examination done.
if necessary chest x rays will help in ruling out if there is any congestion accordingly treatment can be done.
oral steroid or nasal sprays helps in clearing the mucus but has to taken only on a physicians advise.
drink lots of water and keep yourself hydrated.

i hope this helps,
take care.
