Intense Pain In The Lower Ribs Radiating To Shoulder To The Arm, Vomiting And Trembling. Blood Tests Showed Elevated Ggt, Alt, Ast. What Does That Imply.
hi i went to emergenc department as had intense pain lower ribs left side radiating up shoulder down arm so intense felt like someone st5anding on my chest so bad i vomited was shaking etc blood test done everything showed normal except raised ggt, alt and ast all around 250 normal bilirubin and lipase , do not drink or take drugs please can you let me know what you think?

I am a general physician and read you mail in detail. I would like to know mare about your history like
1. your age, weight, height.
2. Family history.
3. Any heart disease you are suffering from?
4. Pain in left side lasts for what time period and by what remedies you get relief.
5. Has ECG done or not.
Now coming to your query and detail you have given, there is more possibility of a simple gastritis pain as your SGOT, SGPT and GGT are raised. These all are Liver function test which are in abnormal range, so you have to take some liver tonic like Udiliv or Liv.52 and investigated for Hepatitis.
Other possibility may be cardiac pain as it radiates to shoulder and left arm.
Consult your doctor ASAP and investigated properly. Answer my question in a follow up query, I will be happy to answer it.
