Inserted Pills For A Uterine Biopsy. What Happens If The Pills Are Not Removed?

I was scheduled for a uterine biopsy and was told to insert two pills the night before, my appointment was canceled the morning of and I just remembered my doctor saying that she would remove them after, what will happen now that it was canceled and they were not removed?

Welcome to HCM,
We put those tablets before biopsy and other Gynae procedure, to reduce the cervical resistance, and easy dilatation of cervix. It is not a big problem, if pills has remain inside. It will absorb by itself. The only problem you may encounter is bit of vaginal bleeding, which could happen even if your Doctor would have removed the tablets. Usually it dissolves within 12 hours by itself.
If you are going for Biopsy within 72 hours, you may not need these pills again, but just take pain killers 30 minutes before the biopsy.
