Inner part of upper thigh with reddish circular indent, no pain. What could it be?

I have noticed that on my upper inner thigh I have a redish/purpleish indent, it is about the size of a dime and somewhat circular. I m getting concerned as to what this is, I ve had it for quite some time, maybe 6 months, but didn t really think anything of it until recently. It does not hurt or become sensitive to touch.

Since the lesion is asymptomatic and also without any progression with depression as u say it could be Macular atrophy.Skin biopsy is required for confirmation AND if confirmed C.Doxycycline100mg twice daily for 21days is the treatment of choice which could arrest the progression and for cosmetic improvement you can go for autologous fattransplant later.
