Hello and welcome to HCM,

Ureteric injury during surgical procedures is a side effect of surgical procedures.
A sufficient time is required for healing of the ureter.
For healing, catheterization of the ureter is required.
Catheterization can lead to infections especially hospital acquired infections.
It is important to control the infection during the period of catheterization.
A urine culture and sensitivity need to be done to isolate the micro-organism causing the infection.
The sensitivity test will identify the drug / antibiotic to which the micro-organism is most sensitive.
Consult your treating doctor for further work up.
The condition is treatable and healing of the ureter will take place however, it will take some time.
Think positive. You will recover if proper treatment and medication is taken.

Thanks and take care
