Injured wrist. Was pretty sore with swelling. Why does it hurt a lot?

hi a few months ago i injured my wrist while gardening, it was pretty sore for about 2 weeks with some swelling and bruising, I never got it checked out, but since then it s giving me a lot of pain and discomfort, it swells up and clicks a lot which hurts, at times doing the simplest of things hurts, like spraying a bottle, cutting with a knife, and just constantly aches

Hi pretty sore with swelling indicates soft tissue injury.tough pain even with slightest touch indicates there is underlying bone injury.go for x-ray of the injured part and see for fractures and dislocations.if present consult orthopaedician indicates fracture usually.swelling can be subsided once bone injury is treated and pain also gets decreased
