Injured legs and ankles. Avulsion fracture of fibia and complex sprain. Further?

three years ago I injured my leg & ankle... avulsion fracture of fibia & complex sprain of ligaments & tendons, moving forward had surgery last year for the peroneal tendon in ankle/ foot ...had an MRI recently & it shows talofibular ligament thickened & irregular along with pertiarticular edema in the talus? would like to know what this means, since I have had PT for a month & has gotten worse
