Infant With Reddish Splotches On The Skin. Could This Be Due To Flea Bite?

My almost 13 month old daughter just recently started have red splotches on her skin. Not sure what they are but they seem to fade then come back. No fever and doesn't act like they bother her but last night she was restless and didn't want to sleep in her own bed. Maybe a flea bite? But me and daddy dont have any. Not sure if I should take her to her doctor.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

It is difficult to comment on the nature of those lesions without a physical examination.
Allergy could be one of the causes of skin rash.

If it is allergic dermatitis antihistaminic medications and calamine lotion after examination by your doctor are useful in treatment of the condition.

Hope this helps.
Take care.

Pediatrician Dr. Palraj Irulappan's  Response
Hai, The red blotces of your baby may be due to urticarial rash of some allergen. The allergen may be ingested food items you have given or it may be due to external, say starting from insect bites.application of lotion, creams etc.Any way you give some antiallergic syrup and wait for oneday,if not subsided then visit a doctor,
