Infant With A Pus Filled Painful Lump Below The Waist. Need To See A Doctor?
My 7 month old daughter had a big pimple on her bum just below her waist and in the middle or the buttock line with almost 2cm of redness around it.the pimple poped yesterday and puss came out and today some blood is also coming out.she dont sit or lie on her back as it is painful for her..is it normal or i should take her to the doctor?

Your daughter appears to have developed an abscess (collection of pus caused by infection).
Sometimes such abscess have deeper connection & because it is located in midline & just in or above buttock line it might be reaching up to underlying back bone or spinal cord.
She definitely needs treatment by antibiotics & perhaps exploration to see the exact extent of pus & deeper connection if any.

Your daughter seems to have a boil in the area . It is red and painful. There is oozing of pus and blood .
She needs oral antibiotics and analgesics and local care.
You should take her to a doctor as early as possible otherwise it may spread to form an abscess .
