Infant Has Light And Dark Stools On Changing The Formula Feed For 6 Months. Advice?
My baby girl is 6 months old & since today having loose motion about 3 time up to now. colour of stool is light dark 7 white & she is formula feeding baby & last sunday we change same formula for 6 months old child. AT Night she is get up at about 3o Clock & she is playing well & now trying to crowling & sitting properly without suport. i want advice Thanks a lot doctor

Change in bowel pattern with change in consistency and color of stool is common during transition feeding.Now this is the age when you should start complementary feed for your child. Start with rice then wheat then pulses then egg. If there is any allergy or feed intolerance you can easily identify the substance causing it. You can give rice curd, dalia, dal, egg white, suji ka halwa, khichadi etc. All these will help in establishment of normal bowel habit. If you are giving formula milk then check the dilution. A change in ratio will lead to improper growth and also more disturbed bowel pattern. As you have mentioned your baby is doing well developmentally.
