Unfortunately your daughter may be suffering from a congenital hearing loss
. The HRCT/MRI may be required to see if there is ossification of the cochlea ( hearing organ). Use of hearing aid
is a must so as to stimulate the sound perceiving part of the brain.Immediate initiation of speech therapy
is also required. If you delay, the auditory part of the brain fails to grow. Cochlear implant
is the next option after confirming intact auditory nerve
. Even after that auditory verbal training is very important. Usually done early, your daughter will do very well.
