Increased Levothyroxine Range. Getting Welts Or Hives. Side Effects Of Medication?

My doctor has increased Levothyroxine tab from 0.25 to 0.50 recently. I am getting welt like places on my body.
I thought that they looked like bug bites. But now I am not sure. They probably look more like welts or hives.
I am wondering if this is a side effect of the medication. I am also diabetic.
It has started since the medication was increased.
Should I contact my doctor?

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic
i feel it is not the side effect of medication
probably it may be an allergic reaction
take antihistamine drug like allegra twice daily
local application of calmine lotion
diabetics may develop skin infection due to minor scratches
if there is no improvement within 4-5 days better contact your doctor
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
Take care
