In Last Stage Of Third Trimester, Have Irregular Contractions With Slightly Opened Cervix, Burning And Soreness On Vaginal Lips. Sign Of Labor?

I m 37 weeks pregnant and went to the hospital last night she said my contractions are 3-4 min apart and are regular just not opening my cervix and I was only slightly opened. Now my vagina lips are like burning sore like they feel raw but I am not sexually active. Could this be a sign of labor or what does it sound like?

Hello

Swollen lips of vagina can be due to repeated per vaginal examination.

Use Xylocaine jelly or an ointment for burning.

Your doctor will do best for you as he or she can see the dilatation and effacement of cervix.
