Hello, thanks for using HCM.
the insertion and removal of implanon
is surgical. like most surgical procedures, there is a risk of injury
to underlying tissue ( muscle, nerve
, blood vessels etc). factors that contribute to a damage of underlying tissue during removal include a difficult removal, if the implanon is deep seated such as intramuscular, removal by an inexperience personnel etc. If you did not have of the these predisposing factors and if the implanon was correctly inserted subdermally (and at each time you could feel it under the skin), then it is less likely there was a neural damage.
