If A Diabetic Does Not Go To The Doctor Any More, What Could Happen ?

Hey,, If a diabetic doesn't go to the doctor anymore and doesn't check her blood levels what could happen ? My mom has diabetes but she has only went once with the doctor because we make a low income. She doesn t excercise and she is 53. She eats stuff that i dont know if its good for her. Like she cooks with vegetable oil and eats like anyone else.

YOur mother needs to go to a doc for sugar checks atleast every month once, and once sugars are under good control, then once in three months, still with good control, then every 6 months atleast. She should follow proper diet control too to avoid unwanted complications. Since yu mentioned that you are from low income group then the timely prevention is teh best that should be done.
