IVF Done, Pregnancy Detected, Prescribed Susten Injection As Alternative For Crinone Gel. Do Both Have Same Functions?
hi, i m 34 yrs old and have done IVF embryo transfer 2 week ago. It shows positive pregnancy on the preg test but i m still waiting for my blood report which is due on 23 aug. was using crinone vaginal gel but it got over n i could not find it in any store near by. so my doctor prescribed my susten injection till i get my crinone gel. does both the progestron acts similar? at time i get watery discharge which has a fishy smell. Is it a safe sign? i m worried? please advice?

Fishy smelling watery discharge from vagina is an indication of bacterial infection, You need to get treated with antibiotics consult your gync for further advise.
Both Crinone vaginal gel and Susten injection contains progesterone which is used to maintain pregnancy.
Crinone is a vaginal progesterone, so absorption is from vagina. and Susten injection absorption will be from the site of injection.
But both have same mechanism of action, and both are given for same indications.
