The chance of getting rabies with guinea pig that is at home all the time is very minute. The chance of getting rabies increases if the animal roams outside or comes into contact with an animal infected by rabies. The chance of getting infection is a possibility but You have taken all the precautions. If the size of the bite is large then please get it checked with Your physician. Thank You.
