I tore my calf muscles slightly. How long should it take to recover fully ?

How long should it take for muscles to recover fully? I tore my calf muscles slightly a few weeks ago, and they seemed to get better, but a couple of days ago the same spot started hurting again (as well as above and below the spot) and now on my other leg. How long should it take for these muscles to recover? And can you re-tear muscles?

General & Family Physician Dr. Ramesh M.Vachharajani's  Response
Thanks for query,
There may not be tear of calf muscles but may be pulling or stretching of calf muscles,
Now as you get pain might have due to muscle catch or if there were haematoma giving ride to infection.
the pain on other leg may be due to having more pressure because of not having proper gait of injured leg.
Take analgesic and muscle relaxant medicines.
ok and bye.
