I Took Contraceptive Pills But I Am Also Taking Doxycycline What Are The Drug Interactions Between Them ?
My LMP was last june 3 2011 and until now i am not having my periods I had sex last june 13 and i think I am pregnant Not wanting this pregnancy to continue if I am, I took contraceptive pills but I am also taking doxycycline what are the drug interactions between them and how can i not continue my pregnancy?

You need to confirm your pregnancy first with the help of a pregcolor card before taking any medicine to discontinue your pregnancy further. The metabolism of oral pills is increased with doxycycline and contraception failure may occur.

Ifyou did not want pregnancy you should have taken contraception from start to avoid pregnancy.There is interaction between Doxycycline and contraceptive pills and the contraceptive effect is increased.So if you have missed your periods you will have to get urine pregnancy test done and even if you are pregnant and have taken Doxycycline you will have to consult a Gynaec for opinion and may require abortion as it is contraindiated in pregnancy.So if you miss periods do a pregnancy test and consult a Gynaec.

If you are pregnant and do not want to continue with the pregnancy, visit a gynecologist at the earliest who would suggest you the best possible method of terminating the pregnancy . Contraceptives are meant to prevent pregnancy and not for abortion.

Read your prob, you had sex during fruitful period so there is much chance of getting pregnant. so check it n consult your doc. if you do not want to carry it then consult about MTP.
you take doxycyclin n contraceptive toghter, doxy impair the effect of hormonal contraceptive so it cant work. you should take any drug as per advise your doc after seeing all effect n side effects. there is many good alternate of doxy present.
