I Have Yellow Stools With Yellow Discharge That Creates An Acid Burn On My Rectum

I ve been cured from H pylori disease and now receive every 5 years colonscopy. I recently had a endoscopy with a segmiscope for tar like stools, which came back negative. I commonly have yellow stools with yellow discharge that creates an acid burn on my rectum. I also noticed at work when lifting items that press against my left side of the abdomin is when I have bad bouts with acid discharge. Any Ideal what this might be?

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history of clearing from H pylori and have colonoscopy very 5 years, had tar like stools hence sigmoidoscopy was done and was normal. Commonly have yellow stools with yellow discharge that create acid burnsing sensation, there is pain on left side of abdomen on lifting something when you are in an attack...
Your history is suggestive of entero-colitis with added infection hence when the stool comes out it soils the peri-anal area and causes the burning sensation.
I would advise you the following:
Get the stool tests done for three days.
Get a course of an antibiotic and metronidazole so that the infection is brought under control.
The cause of tar stool is bleeding anywhere above the mid-way of large bowel and hence sigmoidoscopy is insufficient.
This is called malena and one should go for Upper GI Endoscopy, full colonoscopy and Contrast enhanced CT scan of the abdomen.
Get these done to get a proper diagnosis and treatment.
