I Have Unusual Heart Beat. Does Stress Cause High Blood Presure?

My heart can beat all normal, boom. . boom. . boom and then all of a sudden BOOM out of no where and then it keeps doing that off and on and it feels horrible like if my heart is gonna pop outta my chest , now i hardly eat greasy or salty foods cuz i hate salt! but is this high blood pressure? my boyfriend said it sounds like it and it could be because of stress, does stress cause high blood presure?

Hi The answers are yes - it could be and yes - it can do ! But you should know that stress can cause all of the other symptoms you describe without causing a rise in your blood pressure. Go get a check up from your doctor who will be able to run some tests and put your mind at rest.
