I Have Type 2 Diabetes. Is This Necessary To Check Twice Daily?

I have type 2 diabetes . Medicare has said I need to check my blood glucose level just once a day.? My Dr. agrees but I think I need to test twice a day. Is it OK to test once a day? Should I get another Dr.? I m not happy with the situation at all.

It really depends how you manage your diabetes with foods and exercise apart from medications. Like if you eat the same way everyday, exercise and take your medicines and your sugar test good most everyday . Then I would say that testing everyday itself is overdoing it.Besides your doctor knows whats good for you. follow his advise.
