I Have Blood And Mucus In Stools. What Should I Do ?

I have a 2 years and 8 months old son and he just passed some blood and mucus in his stools. We have been giving him medicines for cold and cough. And along with this blood and mucus in his stools, he has got fever . Is there anything immediate that I should do to attend to this ?

mucus & blood in stool can be because of bacterial or amoebic infection.
you should get his stool test to differntiate the cause.
according to result ,he should be given treatment.
