1. Granular pharyngitis
occurs due to chronic inflammation of lymphoid tissue on the posterior pharyngeal wall due to infection, allergy, pollution, reflux, post nasal drip
, mouth breathing
due to nasal obstruction
, smoking and other irritants.
2. Use a medicated mouthwash regularly. Any chronic tonsillitis
must be treated with a short course of antibiotics anti-allergics and steroids. Try Betadine gargles, diluted with water and use 30 ml for 30 seconds two to three times a day.
3. Tonsilloliths usually do not need treatment, however, if you consider them troublesome you may undergo laser assisted sealing of the offending crypts or tonsillectomy for a permanent solution.
