Had Heart Attack, Muscle Pain. Battling Atrial Fibrillation. On Crestor And Metoprolol. Is It Good Enough?

I had a heart attack in 2008 and I am battling atrial fibrilation. I am on Crestor and CQ10, and Metrolprolol. Lately, I've been having muslce aches at night in my top thighs. My pharmasist suggested I reduce my Crestor to 20 mg one night and 30 mg another night. I did this, and have not seen any changes. Do you have any suggestions? Should I merely take 20 mg nightly?

Hi,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic,
I have gone through available details you have coronary artery disease and had myocardial infraction in 2008.

You are having atrial fibrillation, you are taking regular treatment and monitoring.
Your muscle pain may be side effect of Rosuvastatin; if there is no other cause please get your CPK and Liver enzymes (ALT&AST), if high consult you’re Cardiologist and if necessary Rosuvastatin dose may be reduced or even stopped.

If not tolerated then alternative drugs may be given.
Please do not change dose of this drug without consultation of your Cardiologist.
Hope Luck.
Dr. Akhilesh Dubey this information helps.
Take care.
Good M.D.
