Hi
Welcome to HealthcareMagic forum.

The problem of constipation can be tackled by good diet changes and lifestyle changes like including lot of fibre in your diet, you could find them in green leafy vegetables, nuts, fruits, etc. Make sure you get good physical activity daily as it would help in speedy motility of the gut ,also drink lot of water daily, especially warm water when you wake up.Reduce stress and get good sleep.

For bad breath, see e dentist to check with the teeth related causes most often this will be the cause, if not, we need to investigate further.

Wish you good health

General Surgeon Dr. Ranjan Mohanty's  Response
UR PROBLEM IS BECAUSE OF REDUCED GASTROINTESTINAL MOTILITY , GO THROUGH MY RESEARCH WORK GIVEN BELOW
APPROXIMATELY 70% OF THE HUMAN POPULATION SUFFER FROM ACID PEPTIC DISEASE WITH SYMPTOMS LIKE
--BLOATING OR FULLNESS OF ABDOMEN,
--BELCHING
--BURNING OF CHEST,
--FOREIGN BODY SENSATION IN THROAT,
--IRREGULAR BOWEL MOVEMENT, MOSTLY CONSTIPATION SOMETIME LOSE WITH MUCUS
--NON SPECIFIC ABDOMINAL PAIN,
--PRICKING SENSATION IN ABDOMEN,
--WEAKNESS,
--LETHARGY,
-- AND EVEN A MAJOR CAUSATIVE FACTOR FOR HEADACHE.
CAUSE:
OUT OF THE 100 PEOPLE SUFFERING FROM THESE SYMPTOMS, I BELIEVE THAT THE CAUSATIVE FACTOR FOR 98% OF THESE PEOPLE IS ADHESIONS OF THE ASCENDING COLON TO THE INTERIOR ABDOMINAL WALL AS A PROTECTIVE MECHANISM TOWARDS SUB ACUTE APPENDICITIS.
THE APPENDIX HAS A SMALL LUMEN IN CONTINUATION WITH THE LUMEN OF THE LARGE INTESTINE (CAECUM).IT HAS NO VALVE AND HAS A BLIND END.
SUB ACUTE APPENDICITIS IS A CONDITION WHERE THERE IS IMPACTION OF STOOL IN ITS LUMEN WHICH STAYS THERE FOREVER BECAUSE OF ITS BLIND END. A PATIENT SUFFERING FROM THIS CONDITION, THAT IS, INITIAL IMPACTION OF STOOL IN THE APPENDICULAR LUMEN, NEVER COMPLAINS OR HAS ANY SYMPTOMS OF PAIN OVER THE APPENDICULAR REGION BECAUSE THE LUMEN COULD ACCOMMODATE THE SMALL IMPACTION. PROTECTIVE MECHANISM OF OUR BODY NOW COMES INTO PLAY AND TRIES TO PREVENT FURTHER IMPACTION WHICH COULD OTHERWISE LEAD TO ACUTE PAIN OVER THE APPENDICULAR REGION OR EVEN PERFORATION WHICH COULD BE FATAL .
OUR BODY HERE FOLLOWS THE SIMPLE PRINCIPLES OF PHYSICS. LET US IMAGINE OUR INTESTINE TO BE A PIPE AND THE APPENDICULAR LUMEN A SMALL HOLE ON THE PIPE.TO PREVENT LEAKAGE OF WATER THROUGH THE HOLE, THE PRINCIPLE IS TO REDUCE THE FLOW RATE. SIMILARLY TO PREVENT FURTHER LEAKAGE OR IMPACTION OF STOOL INTO THE APPENDICULAR LUMEN, THE MOTILITY OF THE ADJACENT GUT NEEDS TO BE REDUC

For constipation have shiva kshar curan 500 mg with hot water at bed time. Also develop a reflex for this problem such as just after having a glass ofwater in morning rush to toilet and sit there for some time. Have fibre rich diet.
Brush your teeth at night positively. There are chances with clearance of gut the smell also stops.

General & Family Physician Dr. Shoaib Khan's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,

Thank you for your query.

As you have already ruled out dental problems and a gastrointestinal infection and problems with motility. We could suspect halitosis (bad breath while exhaling) which is caused due to the following reasons:

-Tongue bacteria (use a tongue cleaner, and a mouth wash)
-Gum and mouth diseases (ruled out in your case)
-Nose- sinus infections or presence of foreign body in nose
-Tonsils: decomposition of the tonsils
-Esophagus: in conditions like GERD, hiatus hernia, diverticulum
-Stomach: reflux disorders, fistulas, etc.
-Others: diabetes mellitus, metabolic conditions, trimethylaminuria, lung infections, kidney infections, etc.

Please discuss the closest possibility (possibilities) with your doctor.

I hope I have succeeded in answering your questions, you could write back to me anytime for further clarifications.

Best wishes.

Dentist Dr. Yogesh Tripathi's  Response
hello
you have two problems which may or may not be associated with each other
1.for constipation you can do following
a.an apple in the morning relieves constipation
b.a glass of luke warm lemon water with a pinch of salt in the morning is also a good remedy
3.a glass of milk and 4-5 resin an hour before you go to sleep in the night also helps a lot

2.now about your bad breath
bad breath may be due to variety of reasons including poor oral hygiene , ENT infection ,tonsils .systemic condition like diabetes and also GERD i.e gasto esophageaal reflux
now mostly poor oral hygiene is the main culprit
so what i would suggest is that you pay a visit to your dentist and get a scaling done and maintain proper oral hygiene
for maintaining goood oral hygiene you can do following
a.lukewarm saline rinses 4-6 times daily initially and after every meal after a few days
b.hexidine mouthwah after breakfast and dont eat or rinse for atleast half an hour after the mouthwash
c.dont forget to brush your teeth before you go to sleep after dinner
if bad breath continues after this than you may need to consult your ENT specialist
best of luck
