You can have normal diet, just avoid large and heavy meals, too much fat/oil/cheese/thick gravies, spicy food, sauces (as in chinese food), perservatives ( as in packaged food like chips, crackers, jams, fruit juices ).
Have less spicy, light , small meals, fresh and home cooked food. Plenty of water, and fruits and vegetables , milk/milk products ...prefarably toned milk as its is light on stomach and does not cause flatulence/gases.
Cut down on alcohol, smoking
, coffee/tea, soft drinks, stress
. Adequate sleep is must. Lying/sleeping within 2 hrs of food should be avoided. Also avoid strenous exercse , abdominal exercise
, lifting weights. Walking/jogging etc can be done.
